Ilov told Realiya that the security forces sent the case against the Shevtsovs to court on the day they were detained, but the materials were returned to the police because of errors in it. “[Upon re-examination], the court found that the events referred to by the officers were in fact fictitious, they contradict the circumstances of the case and the testimony of both the police officers themselves and the witnesses,” he explained.
