The FSB reported on the detention of a Ukrainian who, “on instructions from the Kyiv special services, was planning a crime of a terrorist nature” in the North Caucasus. this TASS reports with reference to the FSB public relations center.
“On the territory of the North Caucasian Federal District, an attempt was prevented by a supporter of nationalist ideology, a Ukrainian citizen who arrived in Russia through labor migration, to commit a crime of a terrorist nature, which he planned on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services,” the agency quotes the special service’s message.
It is not specified where the Ukrainian was detained. The FSB also does not say what kind of “terrorist crime” the Ukrainian was preparing for.
“Ready-to-use terror weapons” were confiscated from the detainee. He confessed, the FSB opened a criminal case on preparation for a terrorist attack (Part 1 of Article 30, Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code).
