A participant in the action on January 23, 2021 in Vladivostok, Elena Kazantseva, accused of blocking a roadway, was put on the wanted list. Evgeniy Bulenok, a lawyer from OVD-Info, who represents her interests, spoke about this.
The court hearing took place on November 28, but the defense attorney received the search warrant only today. The reason given is that Kazantseva does not appear when summoned to appear in court, which allegedly interferes with the proceedings in the case. The case was suspended.
The prosecutor also asked that Kazantseva be arrested as a preventive measure, but the judge of Judicial Precinct No. 1 of the Leninsky District of Vladivostok refused this. Now the accused is under recognizance not to leave the place.
Elena Kazantseva is accused of the fact that at the rally on January 23, 2021, “the deliberate actions of Kazantseva and other persons created a real threat to the safety of citizens located in the immediate vicinity of the events that took place - both on the sidewalks and on the roadway itself.” The case was opened under the “transport” article (Article 267 Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
According to the police, participants in the Vladivostok action on January 23, including Kazantseva, “went onto the territory of the Square of Fighters for Soviet Power onto the roadway, <...> they held hands and continued to block the movement of vehicles, completely blocking the roadway, thereby preventing movement of vehicles and pedestrians."
