The court extended the imprisonment of members of a post-punk group in a pre-trial detention center in the case of arson of the administration of the city of Bakal
The Central District Court of Chelyabinsk extended until February 4 the detention period of the defendants in the case of arson of the administration of the city of Bakal, Alexey Nuriev and Roman Nasryev. This was reported by the Solidarity Zone telegram channel.
During this time, the investigator plans to transfer the case to court, since the preliminary investigation into the case has been completed.
Members of the Bakal post-punk group Room32 Nuriev and Nasryev are charged with committing a terrorist act by a group of persons by prior conspiracy (clause “a”, part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code) and undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities (Article 205.3 of the Criminal Code).
As it became known in November, the accused are in Chelyabinsk pre-trial detention center-7.
According to investigators, on the night of October 11, they broke a window on the first floor of the city administration building and threw two Molotov cocktails there. The fire was extinguished by a watchman before firefighters arrived. The musicians were detained on the same day.
On October 13, the Central District Court of Chelyabinsk sent them to a pre-trial detention center for two months. Initially, Nuriev and Nasryev were charged with the intentional destruction and damage of property (Article 167 of the Criminal Code), but later the case was reclassified as the commission of a terrorist act by a group of persons by prior conspiracy. In November, a second criminal case was opened against them - under the article on training in terrorist activities.
The press service of the FSB Directorate for the region noted that the detainees “are members of several dozen left- and right-wing radical Internet communities, including pro-Ukrainian nationalist ones.”
