In Lipetsk, a libel case against the governor was closed

In Lipetsk, a libel case (Article 128.1 of the Criminal Code) against the Governor of the Lipetsk Region Igor Artamonov, in which local resident Gennady Makarov was a witness, was dismissed. Makarov himself reported this to OVD-Info.

The case stems from a post that Makarov allegedly posted on February 24. The publication said that the German apartment of the regional governor Igor Artamonov should be given to the Ukrainians.

The termination of the case became known from the prosecutor's decision to refuse Makarov's complaint: the man complained about the refusal to recognize the search in the case as illegal. Search at Makarov's place on December 13. On December 27, as follows from the prosecutor’s decision, the things seized during the search were returned to Makarov.
