Bloomberg: Russian authorities can withdraw 50% of net profit from state -owned companies

The Russian authorities decided to oblige state companies to pay increased dividends, to demand a “one -time payment” from fertilizer and coal producers, as well as reduce non -boronal expenses. This, according to Bloomberg, states, said in the document signed by the head of the Russian government, Mikhail Mishustin, drawn up in mid -December. Officially, such a document was not reported.

According to Bloomberg, these measures are at the disposal of Mishustin are called "mobilization of income." Some of the money seized will go to cover the expenses related to the war in Ukraine, the agency’s sources familiar with this issue say. According to them, the decision on the amount of payments has not yet been made, since it will depend on the budget for the full 2022 year.

The authorities “if possible” will try to establish dividends in the amount of more than 50% of the revenue for state -owned companies, sources say. The agency notes that it is assumed that it will be a disposable rather than a constant measure.

The document also says about the allocation of an additional 175 billion rubles for the resettlement of one hundred thousand people from the Kherson region to Russia.

In addition, the document signed by the Mishustin document states the need to “optimize” budget expenditures outside the defense and security sphere, which should save at least 150 billion rubles.

The Russian government and the Ministry of Finance did not respond to the request of Bloomberg about the commentary during the New Year holidays.
