Relatives of ex-FSB officer who emigrated were detained again in Dagestan

Former FSB officer from Dagestan Emran Navruzbekov, who accused the FSB of involvement in terrorist attacks in the regions, spoke about the repeated detention of his relatives. This is reported by Kavkaz.Realii with reference to Navruzbekov himself.

The security forces detained and brought for interrogation the father, brothers and mother-in-law of the ex-FSB officer. In particular, during interrogation with relatives, they tried to find out with whom of the relatives who remained in Dagestan, the emigrated Navruzbekov and his wife communicate.

“The mother-in-law was taken to the police and asked about her biography “from” and “to”, they held her for several hours, took her phone away for verification. She was interviewed by an operative of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, there was a whole dossier on me on the table - my mother-in-law saw a photo of me and my wife in folders, ”Navruzbekov told the publication.

On December 31, 2022, the security forces were already interrogating the relatives of his wife and mother. Navruzbekov suggested that this was done "on command from above" and conveyed that he was worried for their safety.

In addition, in January, a security official visited his mother-in-law, asking her where Navruzbekov and her daughter were. He also studied the woman's phone. The mother-in-law is one of the relatives who was interrogated on December 31.
