
Russian doctors wrote an open letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin and demanded that he stop sending Alexei Navalny to the penalty area (schizo). The appeal was published on Facebook on the pages of doctors Alexander Vanyukov and Alexander Polopan.
Context. The day before, a message appeared in Navalny's social networks, according to which a schizo was sent for the tenth time during the imprisonment. According to the politician, he received 15 days on December 31 for washing at the wrong time.
Later, lawyer Vadim Kobzev said that Navalny was in a schizo "with temperature, fever and cough." According to Kobzev, associates and native politicians are trying to give him medicines.
What else did the doctors write. The conditions of the detention and the appearance of Navalny cause “great concern” for the health of the politician, according to the appeal. And the FSIN refusal to take medicines for Navalny threatens his life, the authors of the letter say.
Doctors demanded that Putin “stop bullying” over Navalny, allow civilian doctors to him and, if there are indications, hospitalize him in a civil hospital for examination and treatment.
“From a medical point of view, it is obvious that Alexei does not receive medical care in sufficient volume, and its content in a schizu is absolutely contraindicated in his state,” the doctors write.
