The Ministry of Justice brought to the register of “foreign agents” musical critic Artemia Troitsky, actor Arthur Smolyaninov, priest Sergey Kirsanov, lawyer Anatoly Fursov, ex-head of the Perm headquarters of Navalny Sergey Usevov, TV presenter Alexander Shelest and a limited liability company Tenes.

On Monday, the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to initiate a criminal case against actor Arthur Smolyaninov. “In an interview with the Western publications, Smolyaninov made a number of statements directed against Russia,” the publication of the department says. The reason was an interview with the actor to the new newspaper Europe.

On December 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on the regulation of the activities of “foreign agents”. Materials that are produced by “foreign agents” are now considered information that causes harm to the health and development of children. They must be labeled 18+. In bookstores, kiosks and retail outlets, they can be distributed only in sealed opaque packaging, and in organizations for children they are completely prohibited.

In addition, “foreign agents” now cannot be taught in educational institutions, insure deposits, conclude contracts for military service, and be members of election commissions. Recognition of the “ino -agent” also became the basis for dismissal from work.
