The newspaper’s editorial office resigned in protest against the dismissal of Shefred

The city administration of Pechora announced a set of a new team for the Pechora time newspaper, from which all employees resigned after the dismissal of the director. The mayor's office exerted pressure on them, demanding more to write about her activities.

Director Elena Timofeev was fired at the end of last year. A year and a half ago, the administration asked Timofeev to dismiss nine subordinates to reduce expenses. She refused. After that, the city administration began to put pressure on it, demanding that the newspaper publish more materials about the work of the administration and the chapter instead of the scanwords and recipes beloved by readers. Timofeeva also rejected these requirements.

First, the administration wanted to change the chief editor of the publication, but in October they announced the dismissal of the director.

“People who work honestly and for conscience do not need anyone. We wrote about the people of the city and the district, about life in the municipality, but also did not criticize, as we went through severe censorship from the founder. We worked for the good of the townspeople, but did not forget about the political side. Everything was dosed,” Timofeeva said .

Following it, all employees of the publication wrote a statement of care of their own free will.

The Pechora Communists asked the mincifres and city deputies to help restore Timofeev at work. According to them, in the newspaper "there was no chernukha and pouring mud on the political competitors of the Pechora administration", "everything was worthy."
