People's Artist of the Russian Federation actor Dmitry Nazarov, who opposes the war in Ukraine, and Olga Vasilyeva were fired from the Moscow Art Theater. Chekhov, RBC reports with reference to the theater administration.

Vadim Vernik, deputy director of the theater for public relations, told the publication that Nazarov had a conversation with the artistic director of the Moscow Art Theater Konstantin Khabensky, as a result of which a decision was made to dismiss him.

Earlier in Nizhny Tagil, a performance with the participation of Nazarov was canceled. The organizers explained this by criticism in social networks because of the anti-war position of the actor.
