In St. Petersburg, a escalator will be repaired at the Sennaya Square metro station. This was reported by the press service of the State Administrative and Technical Inspectorate (Gati).

As said in Gati, the department issued an order for repairs. The work will be carried out from February 27 to May 11.

Due to the repair, one of three escalators will be closed. At the same time, fewer people will be able to get to the station, they said in Gati. And they advised the residents of St. Petersburg to think through the route in advance, given the large stream of people in the subway.

In November 2022, the lobby of Sennaya Square began to repair. The work will go until January 31, 2023.

What you need to know. The day before, the press service of the St. Petersburg metro said that a new navigation system would be installed at stations with several exits. On updated posters will be numbered from the metro and the types of ground transport available at the stations are indicated.

In 2022, navigation was updated at the Lenin Square, Novocherkasskaya and Moskovskaya stations.
