The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the capture of the village of Klescheevka, which is located south of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region of Ukraine.

It is reported that the village was captured by "volunteers of the assault detachments with fire support from the troops of the Southern Military District."

The capture of Klescheevka was reported today at the headquarters of the territorial defense of the self-proclaimed DPR. A day earlier, Yevgeny Prigozhin, the founder of Wagner PMC, announced the establishment of control over the village. According to him, the settlement was seized "exclusively by units of the Wagner PMC." At the same time, on the same day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Ukrainian army repelled an enemy attack in the Kleshcheevka area.
