The US Department of Justice found six more secret documents during a search of Biden's house.

Officials from the US Department of Justice conducted a 13-hour search of the home of President Joe Biden in Washington and found six classified documents during it. This is reported by AP and CNN , citing President's lawyer Bob Bauer.

“The Ministry of Justice seized materials that it considered relevant to the scope of its investigation. Among them are six classified documents, as well as related materials. Some of them were received during the president's service in the Senate, others - during his tenure as vice president. Also, department employees took away Biden's handwritten notes, which he kept as vice president, ”said the lawyer.

Biden himself and his wife were absent during the search. The President gave permission to search the premises.

Earlier, Department of Justice officials seized various materials marked "Secret" during searches at Biden's residence in Wilmington and in his personal office. Federal officials are required by law to give up official documents and secret records when their public service ends, CNN notes.
