Zakhar Prilepin and other authors of Z-channels endlessly complain that among cultural figures there are not enough patriots, and those that are, for some reason are not as popular as artists opposing the war. Why? The writer and producer Ivan Filippov have an answer to this question.

From the very beginning of the war, the writer Zakhar Prilepin is aching that among the Russian intelligentsia - writers, musicians, actors, directors and operators - there were very few people who supported the Russian invasion. He whines about this almost daily, inspiredly listing the successes, for example, musicians who opposed the war, whose clips collect millions of views against the miserable thousands of “patriotic” musicians on YouTube. It complains that there are not enough patriots among directors and actors, suffers that for some reason, bookstores are not eager to promote “patriotic poets”. “Not just there is no Donbass cinema, it is not even in the project, despite the two convincing requests of the President of the Russian Federation. And there is nothing in the theater either. ” Or “We have no films about 9/10 of our heroes, our battles, our victories. In our nine years, the state (not individuals, but the state) was not able to make films about the heroes of Donbass. ”
And, as is often the case with the Z-propagandists, in each of his posts Zakhar stops exactly one step away from the only correct conclusion: talented and demanded by the wide audience of nuclear films, performances, songs or books not because writers, directors and musicians are incorrect, but because the war is categorically of the fellow citizens of Zakhara not interesting.
“Why does the list of forbidden artists look like a cool festival linap, and the list of permitted ones is like a playlist who, a drunken dad asked to download Zaycev.net from the site?” - Retells the joke of Garik Ogansyan, unknown to me by the author on Twitter. The answer is obvious: the Z-culture in modern Putin Russia through almost the year of the war is a bunch of marginalists that are not interesting to the general public. And the “wire audience” endlessly suffers on this subject: she is infuriated by “blue lights” with eternal Kirkorov, infuriates the lack of films about the war, infuriates the popularity of anti -war authors and musicians. But this anger is powerless, because there is nothing to offer in return.
“For all comedians, Stas Starovoitov, the rest in Italy, are responsible for us today. For all Rich's reperns, although the reperns do not consider him for the rapper. For all Dzhango rockers, although he is not a rocker, well, there is still Sklyar and Galanin with Demyan. Litovets Pukepalis, Italian Mashkov and Okhlobystin with Shagin are responsible for Russian artists. For classic musicians, Peter Lundstrom. For chess players, Karyakin, also almost one, and for a hundred directors - Mikhalkov, Borto and Shakhnazarov, who do not make a movie. Okay, and also Keosayan, who takes off. But for all actresses - one Polina Agureeva. The rest are in mourning. " This is Prilepin again, and yes, he whines again.
After the loud interview was released, Arthur Smolyaninov Prilepin was so upset that he wrote a whole funeral column in the Komsomol Truth, in which he sorrowfully asked the readers the questions: “Why do we have no one from one hundred top filmmakers and support of war] - they just don’t have to speak about Mikhalkov and Shakhnazarov. I’m talking about those hundred directors - who are shooting (we have a year, if you don’t know, they shoot about a hundred films). ”
And Prilepin is right: things really are something like this. Among the truly famous Russian directors and actors, units openly supported the war. Of the important and significant - Mikhalkov and Konchalovsky. Two hands are actively looking for a very popular actor Vladimir Mashkov. The main role performer in the film “Cheburashka” Sergey Garmash, actors Dyuzhev, Lavronenko, Kharatyan, Guskov, Okhlobystin, Merzlikin, Bezrukov, Shagin, directors Sarik Andreasyan and Yegor Konchalovsky spoke out in support of the war.
This is very, in fact, a short list. And the list of people who opposed the war is much longer and people in it are significantly more popular. Some of them left Russia, but many have remained, continue to work and, most importantly, no matter what, they do not speak out for the war. They do not agree to make wire films. Do not take part in propaganda events.
And this is not easy to do in today's Russian realities. The Ministry of Culture has already announced in direct text that the priority state financing would receive the films “On the modern confrontation between the ideology of Nazism and fascism (in particular, about the“ special military operation ”), about the military, about the spiritual leaders of Russia and volunteers, about the situation in other countries”. Both the production of cinema and TV shows in the past and this year allocated record funds - almost 30 billion rubles (Film Foundation, the Ministry of Culture, the Institute for the Development of the Internet).
Today, for a great director, publicly speaking in support of the war is almost a guarantee of receiving previously unprecedented financial support. And it is possible that any of the important genre directors remaining in Russia will succumb to this temptation, but I think that few will agree of the talented ones. And that's why.
I have no doubt that among dozens of popular actors and directors, who publicly and aloud did not speak out against the war, but did not support the invasion, most decent people who look at what is happening in horror, but due to their own circumstances are not ready for public protest. This is clear to me, and I cannot condemn them. But I am also sure that among the silents are very high the percentage of rational people who can think at least one step forward. And they are stopped by two important factors.
Today, to publicly stand next to Vladimir Putin - this means to put everything on the end. In the literal sense of the word - to take a chance of all past achievements in the profession. Or the victory of Russia, and then you retain the status, rewards, regalia and money - or lose everything. Looking at Kherson, in which Russia is forever, confidence in the rationality of such a bet decreases. And this is the first important factor.
The second, it seems to me, is even more important: the directors and actors want to shoot and act in demand films. The matter is not so much in money, although they are important, but in the basic need of the author to be seen and heard. Your novel was read, your film was watched, and not hundreds, but millions. You took place to the hearts, you somehow, albeit during the session, but changed the lives of millions of people. You did it. This is the most important need of any person engaged in creativity. And she is contrary to the support of the war. The Russian audience, like Russian society as a whole, does not want to know about the war. He wants to pretend that there was no war and nothing happened and desperately resists attempts to bring the war to his everyday life.
Since March, all, without exception, Zu-authors of countless telegram channels complain: why is the economy not transferred to military rails? Why do we need forced mobilization, and not the millions of Russians themselves go to the military registration and enlistment offices of volunteers? Why is Moscow in festive lights and entertainment? Why is everything not for the front and not for victory? Finally, Zakhar Prilepin asks, why is there no correct music, cinema and literature?
There is only one answer: because Russian society is not interested in war.
The film "Cheburashka" has already raised more than 5 billion rubles in the Russian cinema box office. This is a record. Such a figure in the pre -war times could not even dream of any of the producers. This is an unthinkable success not only for a Russian film-for any picture that has ever been released in the country. But this success is least related to cinema. Of course, the departure of Hollywood films became important factors (the whole 2022 in cinemas there was almost no big entertaining movie), and the tradition that has developed in Russia on long New Year's holidays will certainly go to the movies, sometimes more than once. But still, the record billions of “Cheburashki” are not about cinema, but about the desperate desire of millions of Russians to pretend that there is no war, and at least for a couple of hours, but return to the pre-war understandable world.
And in this success, hundreds of Russian filmmakers see the answer for themselves: how to save a profession, how to shoot a demanded movie, how to earn as much money as in the pre -war times and it was impossible to think - to pretend that there was no war. Entertain. Distract. Strengthen in faith in a miracle. But only in no case do not talk about the war.
The fact that in the future Russian spectators await the boom of entertaining, fabulous, children's and fantastic cinema can already be judged by the results of the last pitching of the Film Fund. It turned out to be quite indicative. All projects of the leading leaders (that is, those who have the right to receive irrevocable subsidies) are entirely entertaining: “Bremen musicians”, “Wizard of the Emerald City”, “One Hundred Years ahead”, “Fire”, “First hero”, “Ice 3” ... The war is present only by companies, the status of a leader did not have: for example, the Foundation supported the film “For Airborne Forces” and the adherence of Alexander Prokhanov "Militia". Leaders are going to earn money with success, and non -to speak, so to speak, from the budget. Yes, and they will be removed by the Opportunists of very moderate fame, such as Ilya Kazankov, who before the war shot for the producer Alexander Rodnyansky, the series Richter, and now-now, will be removed by Prokhanov.
So in the coming year of the writer Prilepin there are still many reasons for the disorder. Actually, in approximately this, the philosopher Dugin formulated in an unexpected way: “I understand that I am going against everyone, but Cheburashka is not at all what Russia needs. We do not need Cheburashka, this is some kind of dementia. We need an awakening and a full revival of tradition - almost completely lost, hardly ragged a hundred years ago. We cannot win with Cheburashka. ”
Of course, do not win.
