According to the prosecutor's office of the Admiralty district, ceiling ceilings in the house opposite the Isaacievsky Cathedral collapsed on the evening of January 23. Employees of the KGIOP, the district administration and the housing agency of the Admiralty district, as well as representatives of the HOA, participate in the audit.
The publications “78” and “Mash on the Moik” write that the apartment belongs to Dmitry and Polina Zaretsky - an entrepreneur in the IT and designer of clothing. In a commentary for Mash on the Moika, Dmitry Zaretsky accused the management company in the situation, which, he claims, put bags with building materials in the attic during the repair of the house. According to him, the residents asked to remove these bags.
There are no victims as a result of the collapse.
The building was built back in the middle of the 18th century. In 1832, the house was acquired by a native of Moravia Sevastyan Kitner, who owned one of the most famous oil lamps in St. Petersburg. Under Kitner, the building was rebuilt, adding another floor to it. His workshop and store worked there. From 1872 to 1906, Professor Alexander Limberg, the founder of the first department of odontology in Russia, lived and worked in this house.
