The Khabarovsk Garrison Military Court began consideration of the case, initiated against the participant of Swear by Daniel Frolkin. He is accused of “spreading fakes” about the Russian army with an organized group and from selfish motives (paragraphs “B” and “G” of part 2 of article 207.3).
Last summer, Frolkin admitted to the publication “Important Stories” ( the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation recognized the media as an ino -agent, and the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation as an undesirable organization ) in the murder of a civilian resident in Ukraine and spoke about the details of his service in the zone of his own. This video interview became the leader in the network.
The fact of the murder that the defendant spoke about reporters, the court and the prosecutor were not too interested in.
The prosecutor was more worried about the witnesses to tell which commanders sounded in Frolkin’s story. The court also clarified the witnesses whether the journalist Ekaterina Fomina offered them money for an interview.
The main witnesses of the charges of R. and O. did not appear at the meeting - officers from the military unit in which Frolkin served. R. - sent to Ukraine. O. - in Khabarovsk, but why he did not appear at the meeting, the prosecutor did not specify.
From the side of the defense came the colleagues of Frolkin - Ruslan G. and Dmitry D., who also gave an interview to “important stories”. G. said that he no longer serves in the army, but works in a spit beer store. D. is still serving.
G. also said that Frolkin is “a person who can always be trusted on.” According to him, he always helped people, pulled the wounded from the battlefield, and helped with the necessary. To the question of the defense, whether Frololkin had a reward, the witness was difficult to answer, but remembered that the defendant was sent to the guardhouse. For what - no longer remembers.
In the summer, G. also talked with the journalist of “important stories”, but during the meeting the media did not remember. I could not say at the trial, and what the video with Frololkin is about.
“Daniel was in a not very sober state [when he gave interviews], because of the breakdown, probably only from Ukraine returned,” G. said said
The judge asked if they offered him money or something else for an interview, G. answered this question negatively.
D. during interrogation also said that Frolkin is “reliable comrade”, “Without him, he would not have returned from Ukraine.”
According to him, when the contract was over, he, along with the transportation of Frolkin, left the front line. “The problem from the front is to get out. Only Daniel’s transport came to us. So with him I went to the rear. ”
About the video, D. told a little. The soldier claims that the journalists went to him through Frolkin or through his wife, asked leading questions.
Here is a part of his dialogue with the prosecutor.
QUOTE
- And you watched the video, found out that Frolkin spread about you, and still characterize it positively? - specified the prosecutor.- Questions, of course, arose, but there was neither the time nor the opportunity to meet with it. I don’t know for what purpose he participated in an interview, why he behaved like that. They also contacted me, but I said that I know nothing. Ekaterina Fomina did not offer me anything for the interview.
The prosecutor has focused on what the names of which commanders were called by Frolkin. “Colonel O., K., and ... and then I don’t remember,” said D.
O. - the main witness of the prosecution - plan to wait for the next meeting on February 2.
Of course, it is very important that the truth is established in court not only on the issue of the distribution of “fakes”, but it would also be clear whether the defendant told reporters. But in this direction, apparently, the investigation, the prosecutor’s office and the court are not ready to think.
