The United States will not transfer F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine. This was announced by US President Joe Biden.
At the same time, John Kirby, coordinator for strategic communications at the White House National Security Council, added that Washington is already supplying Kyiv with the necessary weapons.
“Significant amounts of aid are already being sent and will continue to be sent in the coming weeks and months. These are the weapons that we know will be critical for the Ukrainians in the winter, as well as for the fighting they expect in the spring, ”he said.
Today it became known that Washington sent the first batch of 60 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles to Kyiv. This was reported in the transport command of the armed forces of the United States.
As the speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ignat noted, Ukraine needs about 180 fighters. French President Emmanuel Macron allowed the delivery of fighter jets to Ukraine during a visit to the Netherlands. At the same time, the head of the German Defense Ministry, Boris Pistorius, on the contrary, said that such deliveries were impossible.
