In Russia, the court first qualified the arson of the military enlistment office as a terrorist attack

For the first time in Russia, the court sentenced the court under the article on the attack for the arson of the military commissariat. According to the TASS agency , the accused from the Khanty-Mansi district was sentenced to 12 years in the colony.

TASS does not name the name of the convict. Apparently, we are talking about Vladislav Borisenko. The verdict was issued by the Central District Military Court in Yekaterinburg, this is stated in the file cabinet .

Borisenko is a resident of Nizhnevartovsk. He was accused of, together with Vasily Gavrilishn, he tried to set fire to the military registration and enlistment office in this city in May. One bottle with a combustible mixture went out, from the second a wooden sheathing of the dressing room of the military enlistment office caught fire. The fire was quickly extinguished by the police who came to the call, the victims were not reported.

The percodal both were accused of deliberate destruction or damage to property and hooliganism, but then the case was re -qualified to the attack and transferred it to the military court. According to an article on the attack of the accused, it can threaten up to 20 years in prison. At the same time, Borisenko and Gavrilishin are judged separately.

In court, the accused said that they set fire to the military registration and enlistment office for the sake of earnings - some persons in Telegram promised them more than a million rubles - and do not agree that it was an attack. The lawyer of Vladislav Borisenko Sergey Chernoshkov, as Kommersant writes , said that his client actually allegedly supports the war against Ukraine.

After the Russian invasion of Ukraine in Russia, attempts were committed to arson of dozens of military commissariats and other state institutions - as a rule, fires are quickly extinguished, and only limited damage is caused to buildings. Several people were convicted under articles on hooliganism or damage to property, however, in the fall, the investigating authorities re -qualify such cases to a significantly more difficult article on the terrorist attack.
