Unproductive competition

Member of our project “After” political analyst Mikhail Vinogradov writes:

“The discussion about the name of Volgograd is interesting for this.

Contrary to stereotypes, the current Russian government was never seriously fond of the reanimation of the Stalinist myth. But there was always an understanding that there was no interest to go further because it would create unnecessary and potentially not always the winning fields of comparisons of the leaders of the past and figures of our time.
