In the center of the city of Kramatorsk, Donetsk region of Ukraine, an apartment building was destroyed as a result of rocket shelling. According to the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Pavel Kirilenko, at least three people died and were injured twenty. At the same time, under the rubble that rescuers disassemble, people are with a high degree of probability.
According to the police of the Donetsk region, "Russian troops fell into the residential sector of the Iskander-K missile, at least eight apartment buildings were damaged."
The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky called the missile blow to Kramatorsk "the daily reality of the life of the country, which territorially borders on the absolute evil."
The Russian side has not yet commented on the shelling.
Kramatorsk is controlled by the Ukrainian military, but is located several tens of kilometers from the city of Bakhmut, to which Russian troops advance, and around which one of the most fierce battles have been going on from the beginning of the war.
In total, during the war in Ukraine, dozens of cases of mass death of civilians were recorded as a result of missile and artillery shelling from the Russian side. In March last year, as a result of the bombardment of Russian Aviation of the Mariupol Drama Theater, about 300 people died, according to the Ukrainian authorities. 50 civilians lost their lives in April as a result of a missile strike at the station in Kramatorsk, 48 - in July after shelling a residential multi -storey building in the city of Yar, in the same month, 27 people died on Vinnitsa.
In August, on the Independence Day of Ukraine, Russia inflicted a missile blow to the Chaplino railway station in the Dnipropetrovsk region, killing 25 civilians. In October, during one of the most massive missile shelling by Russian troops, more than 30 civilians died. On January 14 of the current year, 46 people died in the Dnieper as a result of a blow to the house in the Dnieper.
According to the UN, by mid -January the number of dead civilians in Ukraine exceeded seven thousand, among them more than four hundred are children. At the same time, this is only about documented and confirmed cases of the death of civilians - in fact, there can be many times more dead.
