In Smolensk, a visitor to a sushi cafe was fined for “screaming phrases discrediting the army”

The Leninsky District Court of Smolensk fined a visitor to the Red Dragon sushi cafe 45 thousand under a protocol on “discrediting” the Russian army (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code). This is reported on the court's website.

The resolution, cited by the press service, states that the Smolensk resident, “attracting the attention of citizens, shouted phrases that distort and discredit the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.” What exactly Artemov shouted is unknown, since the text of the decision was not published on the court’s website.

In January, Artemov was also arrested for two days under a protocol for petty hooliganism (Part 1 of Article 20.1 of the Administrative Code). He was found guilty of using obscene language and “insultingly pestering” two customers at the same Red Dragon sushi cafe on Kirova Street on January 15.
