OVD-Info and RBC: In Moscow they came with a search and detained an activist suspected of involvement in the Nexta Live telegram channel

In the Nekrasovka district of Moscow, security forces came with a search and detained anti-war activist Oleg Seliverov. His relative told OVD-Info about this.

All equipment was confiscated from the apartment, and the man himself, according to preliminary information, was taken to the police department in the Kuzminki district. However, police from this police department claim that Seliverov was not brought to them.

As OVD-Info writes, an activist may be charged with terrorism (Article 205 of the Criminal Code) or calls for it (Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code).

RBC, citing a source close to the Investigative Committee, reports that Seliverov is suspected of involvement in the Nexta Live telegram channel. At the end of January, the publication wrote that a Muscovite named Oleg Seliverov was suspected of creating Nexta Live.

The telegram channel itself denies any connection with Seliverov and calls his detention “a hunt for Japanese and British “spies” during Stalin’s repressions.”

In April 2022, the Supreme Court of Belarus recognized Nexta, Nexta Live and Luxta as a “terrorist organization.”
