The Ust-Labinsky District Court of the Krasnodar Territory sent a policeman to a pre-trial detention center accused of running over a 60-year-old man and failing to provide assistance to the victim. This was reported by the joint press service of the regional courts.

A criminal case was opened against the security officer under an article on violating traffic rules, which negligently resulted in the infliction of grievous harm to human health, associated with leaving the scene of an accident (clause “b” of part 2 of article 264 of the Criminal Code).

According to investigators, on the night of January 28, a policeman was driving a Kia Rio in Ust-Labinsk and, without slowing down, ran over a passerby. In addition, the lieutenant colonel left the scene without providing assistance to the victim.
