The magistrate of court district No. 11 of the Leninsky district of Makhachkala, Khamidat Aliyeva, fined a private kindergarten teacher who beat a 5-year-old boy with special needs ten thousand rubles. The press secretary of the Legal Initiative, Ksenia Babich, reported this to Mediazona.
The teacher was found guilty in the case of failure to fulfill duties in raising a minor (Article 156 of the Criminal Code). During the investigation, the teacher was under recognizance not to leave the place.
In May 2022, the parents sent the child to a private nursery for children with behavioral problems. A month later, the boy began to refuse to attend preschool, began biting his nails and hitting himself. At the end of August, the mother came to pick up the child earlier than usual and found him crying and with signs of beating on his face. The woman requested CCTV footage that showed the teacher beating the boy and yelling at him.
The teacher, as reported by the Legal Initiative, admitted that she regularly punished the child. The mother demanded that the teacher be fired and turned to lawyers.
Senior lawyer of the Legal Initiative Tatyana Savvina clarified that they were not satisfied with the court verdict and they sent an appeal to the Leninsky District Court of Makhachkala.
