Putin began to mention traditional values ​​in the early 2010s, immediately after he re-elected for the third term and headed for more methodical curtailing civil freedoms in Russia. In 2022, the rhetoric of propaganda, associated with traditional values, perhaps reached its zenith: literally in every speech, Putin mentions some spiritual scrapers, and propaganda actively repeats all this, not forgetting to call everyone who, in their opinion, is opposed by Satanists and antichrists.

But how in reality the policy of Vladimir Putin corresponds to his rhetoric? In this country, we will try to figure out what is actually Putin’s traditionalism and how strong the spiritual scrapers in Russia are compared to the “soulless” West?

Family values

Propaganda loves to parasitize on the theme of the family, and especially on the topic of the lack of family values ​​in the West - what are the jokes of Putin about parent No. 1 and parent No. 2. But what about this in Russia? According to the All -Russian Census of the Population of 2021, 34.2% of Russian children living in family cells are brought up by one parent - of which 28.1% and 6.1% are a father. For comparison, in the “soulless” US, the share of children brought up by one parent is 26.1%. I think for many Russians a picture is quite familiar when a child is raised by mother and grandmother. Apparently, Vladimir Putin decided to come up with his version of the same -sex family - the sea and traditional. The reason for this is a stunning percentage of divorces - according to Rosstat, almost 70% of Russian marriages break up, of which more than a third of the family with children. In the USA, statistics are also not particularly comforting, but still less than in Russia - 50%. But unlike Western countries, where comprehensive program support programs exist, Vladimir Putin decided to limit himself to maternal capital, which can be spent on a very limited set of services, and which is enough only on a 7 -square -do room, given the average cost of housing in Russia. Putin’s abortion statistics do not play in favor of Putin - according to the Ministry of Health in 2022, 38.8 abortions were 38.8 for every 100 genera. That is, almost every fourth woman interrupts the pregnancy artificially.

What do we have in the dry residue? Vladimir Putin tells with one hand to any convenient and not very case about how important it is to maintain families and maintain family values, and the other does everything so that the family institution in Russia is destroyed. It is so destroyed that the situation has become even worse than in the USA, which our propaganda loves to show so much as an example of spirituality and demiary.

Religion

The second pillar of Putin’s “traditionalism”, with which there are also obvious problems. The most obvious of them, about which a lot was said, is the corruption of the Russian clergy. With enviable regularity, news arises that the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church found a house purchased by the Russian oligarch, a clock for a million rubles and much more. And about his connections with the KGB and the tobacco business have been known for a long time.

But maybe the problem is only in the personality of the patriarch, but otherwise everything is in order? Unfortunately no. According to Rosstat, everything looks quite unambiguous - 80% of Russia's inhabitants classify themselves of the Orthodox faith. However, a third of them, according to them, do not believe in God, but regularly visit the temple about 4%. For the past few years, a clear tendency of the outcome of people from the Russian Orthodox Church has been gaining, largely due to the image of the Russian Orthodox Church and its work in the state. For comparison, in the USA 22% of people visit the temple on a regular basis.

But the problems do not end here either. When it comes to political rights in Russia, they rarely recall believers. According to Article 9 of the Federal Law “On Political Parties” in Russia, there is a ban on the creation of political parties on a religious basis. It turns out that if, in the case of opposition citizens, the power resorts to all kinds of tricks, so as not to allow them to register the party, then in the case of believers, even no tricks. Moreover, the Russian Orthodox Church suits this state of affairs, and it does not make attempts to change it somehow. This state of affairs for the countries of the “soulless” Europe is an absolute nonsense - for example, in Germany one of the largest parties calls itself Christian democratic. And not only in Germany - in almost any European parliament you can find a party that represents the interests of believers, and openly declares religious values ​​in its documents. But believers in Russia, according to Vladimir Putin, are not supposed to have a representative office.

As a result, the picture is disappointing - to Putin’s exclamations about Orthodoxy and religiosity, we received a corrupt religious organization, which can barely keep the flock in its orbit, and believers who do not have electoral rights.

Culture

The last point that we will consider in this article is culture, in frequency Russian culture. Putin is a great lover to complain that in Russia youth consumes Western culture instead of Russian, and in the West they decided to cancel Russian culture in general. But how is it really?

But in fact, they decided to cancel Russian culture in Russia. With enviable regularity, we see the news as the next Russian musician replenishes the ranks of foreign agents. An example is the singer Monetochka (Elizaveta Girdimov), the performers of Noize MC (Ivan Alekseev), Face (Ivan Dremin) and Oxxxymiron (Miron Fedorov). This leads to the fact that performers cannot perform concerts in Russia. What is significant, they can still play abroad, the same Oxxxymiron has recently announced a large concert tour, which includes almost all cities of Europe. Apparently, Vladimir Putin forgot to tell him that Russian culture in the West is canceled, otherwise this cannot be explained in any way.

A similar situation among writers - in particular, the foreign agents were recognized by Dmitry Bykov, Dmitry Glukhovsky and Mikhail Zygar. Now their books in Russia can be sold only in the 18+ category and in a special wrapper hiding. How this contributes to the development of Russian culture - there is no answer.

It turns out a strange situation - Vladimir Putin is so worried about Russian culture, but he does everything so that the figures of this very culture live as difficult as possible.

Results

Despite all the exclamations of Putin about traditional values, his traditionalism does not go further than high -profile statements and jokes about gays. Over the 20 years of Putin, Russia has been destroyed in Russia for which Putin has so advocated - families, religion and culture. Therefore, do not think that he has any values. All that interests him is power, money and war.
