
In less than a year, 11 Petersburgers became defendants in criminal or administrative cases due to anti-war inscriptions on the streets of the city. In addition to the article on vandalism, the protesters are charged with the “discrediting” of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the “mass simultaneous stay of citizens”. Some activists spend nine months in jail.
"Paper" tells the stories of those who are persecuted for inscriptions on the walls, garbage tanks, installations and monuments. Some have already received thousands of fines, others are forced to emigrate due to the risk of conclusion.

On the same day, the police detained a 17-year-old schoolgirl on the palace. She was brought to administrative responsibility under an article on public actions aimed at “discrediting” the RF Armed Forces, told the “paper” in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in St. Petersburg. Nothing is known about the judgment of the girl and his decision.
On December 20, the casing cleared of the inscription was returned to the installation. In early January, a guard was set near the art object. On January 20, the structure was removed from the square.
Some classmates of the girl said that they support her act. They said that the girl who left the inscription, an excellent student, "was always fond of politics and adhered to opposition views."

On November 2, Petersburger Anatoly Yankovsky, according to investigators, wrote “no war” on the fencing of the garbage container in Shushara. At the trial, he stated that he did this because of “strong emotional excitement” against the backdrop of political news.
Yankovsky explained that he was traveling in a car and listening to the Business FM radio station, where political news was discussed. Because of them, the man "decided to express his opinion on the garbage container." Almost immediately, a policeman approached him and detained him, later the Petersburger was accused of “discrediting the army”.
Yankovsky applied the inscription with white paint from the spray can, which the Pushkin court decided to destroy. The Petersburger was assigned a fine of 30 thousand rubles.

On October 25, a resident of Vsevolozhsk Alexander Kudryashov was detained in a criminal case of damage to military monuments. According to the investigation, the man applied “Nazi symbols” on a commemorative kilometer pillar No. 39 on the road of life and on the surface near the metal pedestal “85 mm anti -aircraft gun”, which is included in the memorial complex “Torn Ring on the Road of Life”.
“Network freedoms” clarified that the man wrote: “Z = Swastika”.
For almost two months, Kudryashov was in a pre -trial detention center, but on December 23 the case was retrained for a criminal article on vandalism, as the investigation found that the paint used by Kudryashov was washed off, wrote “network freedoms”. Thanks to this, the Petersburger was freed from the pre -trial detention center - he was changed by the preventive measure to ban certain actions.
According to the article on vandalism, Kudryashov threatens up to 3 years in prison.

On the night of October 24-25, the Petersburger Dmitry Kuzmin was detained by the police, who left him for the night without drawing up a protocol in the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Moscow District. Later it turned out that the reason for the detention was the inscriptions on the walls of “Putin - Zl” and “Russia” with the image of the swastika.
At first, Kuzmina was arrested for two days under the article on the demonstration of prohibited symbols. Then he was appointed a fine of 30 thousand rubles for the "discrediting of the army."

On October 3, Alisa Druzhina, along with another activist, according to investigators, hung a banner with the inscription “Zinc coffin on wheels already on your street” on the embankment of the Griboedov Canal. Then the squad allegedly photographed him and published him in the telegram channel of “feminist anti-war resistance”.
The girl was detained on October 18 near her house. She was taken to the police department in the Admiralty district, where she was left for the night. The next day, the Oktyabrsky District Court arrested the squad for five days under an administrative article on the organization of mass simultaneous stay and movement of citizens.
The girl’s lawyer stated that her fault was not proven, and several violations were committed in the case, which was due to stop him.

In July 2022, against 25-year-old Marina Sergeeva, a case of vandalism was opened due to the inscription “Peace of Ukraine” on the facade of the “power machines” building near the electric power metro.
According to the article on vandalism, the girl faces up to three months of arrest. But the lawyer, according to Sergeeva, warned her that the prosecution could be re -qualified for a heavier part of the article, in which imprisonment of up to three years is possible.
Prior to this, Marina Sergeeva, she said, signed the bills of the slogan “No War”, hung green ribbons and anti -war stickers around the city, and also wrote pacifist inscriptions with markers and spray cans at stops and buildings.
On July 27, Sergeyeva left for Armenia. In November, she received a passport and moved to Georgia. On January 31, 2023, the girl was put on the federal wanted list.

In the case file, the security forces indicated that the phrase "Glory to Ukraine!" They used “nationalist military formations in Ukraine, conducting military operations against the Soviet Army in 1917-1920” as a greeting. ”
On July 11, the human rights project “Support for political prisoners. Memorial ” recognized Yegor Kazan to a political prisoner. According to human rights activists, the criminal prosecution of the young man violated his right to freedom of speech, and imprisonment was aimed at “drowning out the voices of opponents of the war with Ukraine.”
On November 18, the Pushkinsky District Court of St. Petersburg appointed Kazan a fine of 30 thousand rubles. The court did not deprive the young man of freedom, since in his actions there were no aggravating circumstances. Then Davydov decided to apply them again, but this time he was detained by the police.
The man was accused of “discrediting” the army of the Russian Federation. In court, Davydov pleaded guilty, but repented only that he had applied to the container, and not on posters. At the meeting, he said that the idea to commit such an act came to him after reading the Bible. The man was fined 30 thousand rubles.

On May 2, the Petersburger Sergei Vasiliev, as the court ruled, wrote several slogans with paint from the spray can-on the playground, on the garbage tank and at the facade of the building of the Kuznetsov Naval Academy. On May 24, Vasiliev was detained and sent to a pre -trial detention center, but on June 18 he was released on a recognizance not to leave.
The justice of the site No. 164 of the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg found the man guilty of vandalism based on political hatred. The court forbade him to leave the house from 23:00 to 5:00, leave his municipal district and participate in mass events without permission.

On March 23, activist Nikita Chirkov, according to the investigation, applied the inscription “Z = Swastika” on the monument to Nikolai Chernyshevsky. According to Verussi, the “Swastika” testified to political hatred and defiled a monument.
On April 15, Chirkov was detained, a few days later he was sent to a pre -trial detention center, where he stayed until August 23. Activist was suspected of vandalism, committed by a group of persons.
At the court on August 23, investigators said that Chirkov’s inscription “insulted public morality, multinational people and the memory of the victims incurred in the Great Patriotic War”.
Chirkov pleaded guilty, apologized to the State Museum of the city sculpture, which belongs to the monument, and also sacrificed 5 thousand rubles to the charity fund for the preservation of the historical heritage “Attention”.
The court decided that Chirkov was guilty of an article on vandalism based on political hatred, and appointed him a year of restriction of freedom.

On March 12, Khodin was a search in the apartment, on the same day the man was detained under the article on the abuse of the burial places of the dead based on political hatred or enmity. Later, the case was retrained to “vandalism”, since the defense was able to prove that there were no burials at the place of inscriptions.
For almost nine months, Khodin was in a pre -trial detention center. On December 28, the peace judge of the site No. 103 of St. Petersburg appointed him two fines of 20 thousand rubles for each inscription, told the OVD-info Dinar Idrisov.
