The judge of the Pervomaisky District Court of Krasnodar Ekaterina Igortseva fined the lawyer Mikhail Benyash for 30 thousand rubles for the “discrediting” of the Russian army. The meeting was held in the absence of Benyash himself, the Lawyer Street reports .

The reason for initiating an administrative case against a lawyer was posts in his telegram channel. Police officers counted about 30 references to the word “war”, while not understanding the context of what was said.

Benyash himself said that he could not attend the meeting on February 6, since on one day he was supposed to be judged in two different ships: in the Leninsky District Court of Criminal Court of the attack on police and Pervomaisky.

“ Yesterday, a suddenly activated homeland, decided to judge me almost simultaneously in a criminal case and administrative. The choice was made in favor of the criminal, because failure to appear there shines a change in the preventive measure , ”Benyash said.

The lawyer asked to postpone the hearing in the administrative case, but the court refused him. At the hearing, the journalist Sergei Burtsev was also not allowed, despite the fact that he was accredited in advance to cover the process.
