Successful walking into the sea and turned the head of the Murmansk entrepreneur Yuri Podvoren, so much so that he decided to put on the mantle of the Doctor of Sciences. However, the fisherman was exposed. However, he was by no means remained with a broken trough.
This is the first publication of the Chronicle from the cycle about fish oligarchs directly related to power in the north-west of Russia.
Let's start with Murmansk. The most fishing city in the north-west of Russia (NWFO). The non -freezing port, a powerful fleet, university and SUZ, who are preparing the sailors, probably, probably all the necessary specialties from Soviet times - this is the key to its status. Here, the most in the NWFO of fishing enterprises and employees of this industry*.
Murmansk, like any other major entrepreneurs, periodically go to power. “Chronicles” will talk about four “fish admirals”, which at different times influenced politics in the 51st region.
The most experienced and rich of our heroes is Yuri Podvor. He visited the Murmansk Regional Duma of the III convocation, from 2001 to 2007.

The biography of the backwater seems to be simple and understandable. Born in 1952 in Kuibyshev (now Samara). In his own words , he was baptized and considers himself Orthodox. In one flattering biography, the family of the backyard, judging by the last name that came from slaves, is safely put on a par with Belinsky, Lermontov, Ushakov and Radishchev. However, the backwater itself claims that it rises to the roots to the noble family of the Vorontsovs, but the family was forced to hide it under the Soviet regime.
The future fish producer graduated from the Murmansk Higher Engineering School with a degree in Sudger. Despite the Orthodox religion, he joined the CPSU and worked as the secretary of the local Committee of the Komsomol. Not the most honorable position on the flow of the Soviet Empire.
Be that as it may, the backwater rose to the captain and in 1991 from the company Murmanrybprom left for Ketromar. Later, the employees of Ketpromara founded their company and bought three ships for it. After the company was divided, as the backwater said, according to the lot. He got the Andromeda ship, in whose honor he named a new company.
Then the backwater returned to Murmmanrybprom as a general director, and in 1999 he headed the new Murmanseldy-2 enterprise. The first deputy former Komsomolets made his own daughter Karina. Now she is engaged in an important business helps to consecrate ships.
Then the backwater became bored of being only a marine lord, and he elected a deputy of the regional parliament, where he lobbied for the interests of fish manufacturers - but, I must say, he did not receive a salary for his work. I remembered, for example, by the fact that he urged to kill drug dealers. However, in 2007, nor in 2011, the fish producer could no longer be re -elected.
If we carefully study the assets of the already nonexistent company Murmanrybprom, we can find out that the founder of the Rodvorenaya company Murmanseldy-2, according to Rosstat, was the same Murmmanrybprom, in which the back-standing director was. Moreover, of all the companies established by Murmanrybprom, only two are alive and flourish - one belongs to our hero, and the other left the structures of the main fish oligarch of Russia Vitaly Orlov.
In 2006, the Murmansk State Technical University announced the backdrop a doctor. And, apparently, the doctor liked his status.
In 2011, our fisherman defended his dissertation and became a doctor of economic sciences. In one of the serial interviews about him, they wrote like this: “The backwater is a scientist, the author of three monographs and 46 scientific articles. Professor and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of MSTU. On June 15, with a “dry” score of 19: 0, he defended his doctoral in economics. But the appeal "Hello, doctor!" He scrupulously rejects: “It’s too early - the VAK has not yet approved the dissertation.”
From there:
- Yuri Vasilievich, why do you need all this - monographs, dissertations - is it necessary?
- Well, the question! Firstly, if a person wants to live and work longer, he must develop. Why do large scientists live for a long time? Their brains are constantly in their work. And I want to live long. And happily.
Secondly, there is some experience, understanding. And the devotion of this earth, which became the second homeland. Therefore, I would like Murmansk not to be chirting, but to develop. What are the possibility for this? Only at the expense of their unique situation. Hence the topic of the doctoral - “Management of the development of the transport infrastructure of the northern regions ”.
A wonderful person. That's just the dissertation, he wrote off. This was discovered by the community of scientists "Dissernet". In 2022, the backwater doctoral degree was deprived of . Thus, the backwater does not have a real degree, but three fishing companies remained.

The main asset of the backwater-Murmanseldy-2 received in 2021 quotas for catching at least 11.5 thousand tons of cod, which brought the company 1.5 billion rubles. The revenue from which the oligarch, who was caressing for the prosperity of the Murmansk region, paid about 8 % of taxes (118 million rubles). The company's net profit amounted to 836 million rubles.
His long -standing company, Andromeda, which the backwater owns together with his wife, got less quota for the cod - by 3.5 thousand tons. This did not prevent the company from receiving a net profit of 330 million rubles. The fishing collective farm "Zarya" (yes, the backyard also a prominent collective farmer) went about 6.2 thousand tons of cod. The company's net profit is 490 million rubles.
At the same time, the backwater does not hide that the salaries in the company are not the highest, believing that the employees value not money, but, in his own words, stability. For understanding, the median average monthly income of residents of 51 regions is a little more than 38 thousand rubles. (approximately $ 500)*. The consumption of fish in Russia is steadily reduced , and this is due to the fall in the income of the population. Due to the sanctions, tin reserves for cans end , which means that prices of fish canned fish are rising. Moreover, according to the chairman of the “Association of Coastal Fish -Miner and Farmers of Murman,” Anatoly Evenko, the fleet is 80 %worn. After the start of the war with Ukraine, foreign shipyards refuse to repair Russian vessels, but there are not enough their capacities.
And what about the backyard? In 2021, fisherman fishermen got 20 thousand tons of cod and profit of 1.65 billion rubles. The outstanding career of the former captain, deputy and doctor of economic sciences.
