Putin will probably take part in a festive rally-concert on the eve of the anniversary of the start of the war in Ukraine

On February 22, the Kremlin is planning to hold a large-scale rally-concert in Moscow, at which Putin is likely to perform. RBC writes about this, citing three sources familiar with the discussion of this issue.

According to them, the event can be held in Luzhniki, where they also organize venues on military-patriotic themes. Sources of the publication say that the rally-concert will be a kind of "continuation" of the message to the Federal Assembly, which is scheduled for February 21. At the same time, they note that the Kremlin wanted Putin to speak to parliamentarians as close as possible to the anniversary of the start of the war.

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov did not comment on the planned event.

Last year, a rally-concert in Luzhniki with the participation of Putin was held on March 18, the anniversary of the annexation of Crimea. Then, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, more than 200 thousand people gathered at the stadium, for whom, in addition to Putin, Timati, Nikolai Baskov, Grigory Leps, Nikolai Rastorguev, the Lyube group and Polina Gagarina performed.

At that moment, the war in Ukraine had been going on for more than three weeks, and the concert in Moscow was held under the slogans "For a world without Nazism", "For Russia" and "For the President".
