The court ordered Google to restore REN TV channels on YouTube
The Moscow Arbitration Court ordered Google corporation structures to restore access to REN TV channels on the YouTube platform . This was reported on the channel's website, information about the decision was also published on the court's website.
In particular, access should be restored to the channels “News”, “Documentary Films”, “How the World Works”, “Military Secret”, “Territory of Delusions” and others.
In case of failure to comply with the court decision, REN TV will demand a penalty from Google : on the sixth day after the decision enters into force, the corporation will have to start paying 100 thousand rubles per day of non-compliance with the court decision. Every week the amount of the penalty will double until it reaches a billion rubles. If after nine months the court decision is still not executed, then the fine will continue to be accrued, but without limiting the maximum amount.
In March 2022, YouTube video hosting blocked the channels of pro-government Russian media, including political, educational and entertainment projects of REN TV. After this, the TV channel transferred its programs and broadcasts to RuTube.
