Arrested in Astrakhan, PARNAS member Yaroslav Savin went on a hunger strike in a special detention center. This was reported to OVD-Info by his wife Marina Savina.
Savina specified that, in fact, the hunger strike began on February 17 at the police department: her husband did not eat the food that they could give him.
On February 18, the Kirovsky District Court of Astrakhan fined a man 30 thousand rubles under the article on discrediting the Russian army (Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and arrested him for five days under the article on petty hooliganism associated with disobedience to the requirements of police officers (Part 2 of Art. 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
The reason for the detention and the fine was that in the name of Savin's telegram channel, next to the name, there is an emoji of the Ukrainian flag. Hooliganism, due to which the man was placed under administrative arrest, allegedly took place at the time of Savin's arrest and delivery to the police department.
Police officers and employees of the Center "E" came to the home of the Savin spouses on the afternoon of February 17th. They turned off the light in the apartment, and after the politician's wife went out to the landing to see what had happened, the security forces blocked the passage and did not let her close the door. As a result, the activist was persuaded to go to the police department in the Kirovsky district, where two administrative protocols were drawn up against him at once. The man was left overnight until the trial.
February 21 Savin's wife believes that her husband's arrest is related to his actions in support of political prisoners. This is reported by the "Caucasian Knot".
In particular, we are talking about sending 30 postcards to people persecuted for political reasons. At the end of December 2022, the activist spoke about this in his Telegram channel.
February 23 After being released from the detention center, Savin was hospitalized, reports Kavkaz.Realii . “His throat was swollen, it was difficult to breathe. An ambulance took Yaroslav to the Alexander Hospital in Astrakhan. The diagnosis has not yet been made,” Marina Mitaleva, the wife of the activist, told the publication.
The activist went on a hunger strike for the entire five days of his administrative arrest; in addition, a sick man was in the cell with him. Savin returned home on February 22, the next morning he became ill.
21:35 Yaroslav Savin was released from the hospital to go home. Doctors examined him, diagnosed him, prescribed treatment and let him go home, told the "Caucasian Knot". his wife
