Two new earthquakes occurred on the border between Turkey and Syria

Two earthquakes of magnitude 6.4 and 5.8 hit the Turkish-Syrian border. This is reported by the European-Asian Seismological Center. In Turkish Hatay, people may be under the rubble, the mayor of the city said.

There is no exact data on the victims yet. Local media reports that buildings that stood up during the last earthquake collapsed. Also now there is no electricity in the whole province.

The authorities of the resort provinces of Antalya and Mersin ask local residents and tourists not to approach the coastline.

In addition, tremors were felt in Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Iraq, Palestine and Cyprus.

As a result of the earthquakes that occurred in Turkey on February 6, according to the latest data, more than 41 thousand people died. According to the UN and the government of Syria, more than 5.8 thousand people died in the country due to earthquakes.
