Arrests after a fight in the "Gallery"

The Smolninsky District Court arrested four people after a fight in the Gallery shopping center. This was reported by the United press service of the vessels of St. Petersburg.

Nikita Lovygin, Konstantin Ignatiev, Sergei Fokin, Maxim Zherebtsov and Rustam Alekseev was punished under an administrative article on petty hooliganism (part 1 of article 20.1 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation). Lovygin was assigned a fine of 500 rubles, the rest - five days of arrest each.

In relation to two more detainees, the decision was not made: one of them was returned to the police, in the second meeting was postponed.

As follows from the materials of the court, on the afternoon of February 26, the detainees came to the “Gallery”, where “they were expressed with a rough obscene abuse, shouted, behaved aggressively, waved their hands, provoking a fight, did not react to comments, thereby expressed disrespect for society and violated public order”.

None of the detainees agreed with the protocols: in court they claimed that they behaved normally and did not commit unlawful actions. “Someone just came to the shopping center to eat,” the press service of the courts reports the position of the detainees.

Context. According to investigators, on Sunday, February 26, a first-year student of one of the colleges of St. Petersburg and several more people beat a 15-year-old student. The victim went to the hospital, the doctors helped him and let him go home.

The UK reported that they opened a criminal case of hooliganism due to an attack on a schoolboy. In the case, the security forces detained a 17-year-old student-he faces up to seven years in prison.

About ten people participated in the conflict, but in total, according to Fontanka, the security forces detained more than 200 minors.

Presumably, a fight occurred in the Gallery with the participation of members of the PMC Redan movement, which appeared in the second half of 2022. Participants in social networks exchanged memes, discussed music and clothes. The movement gained wide fame after a fight in the Aviation Center shopping center, now participants are looking for participants in other cities of Russia and even Ukraine .
