On February 5, the woman received a letter from her husband, in which he said that the administration of the colony had placed him in a punishment cell for 15 days. Two weeks later, Zarema again received a letter from the convict with information that he had been extended the punishment cell for another two weeks. They didn't even take him out of the cell.
From the letters, she also learned that in the punishment cell her husband was given pork almost all the time instead of beef. In addition, he is not allowed to call his wife.

In September 2020, Server Zekiryaev was sentenced to 13 years in prison in a strict regime colony. He was found guilty under the article on participation in the activities of a terrorist organization (part 2 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code). Zekiryaev is included in the group of Hizb ut-Tahrir convicts in the second Bakhchisaray case. The other six defendants in this case were sentenced to 13 to 19 years in prison. Ernes Ametov, who was arrested with them, was initially acquitted and released, but in December 2022, the court sentenced him to 11 years in a strict regime colony.

Then Timur Ibragimov, Marlen (Suleiman) Asanov, Server Zekiryaev, Seyran Saliyev, Memet Belyalov and Ernes Ametov were taken under arrest. Server Mustafaev and Edem Smailov have been under arrest since May 2018. Most of the defendants in this case are activists of Crimean Solidarity, a public movement in support of the persecuted Crimean Tatars.
