The Central District Court of Khabarovsk appointed local activist Zygmund Khudyakov to 20 days of arrest under the article on repeated violation of the rally legislation (part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). It is reported by Free Khabarovsk.
According to Khudyakov, the protocol against him was drawn up because of statements made at the rallies on the anniversary of the death of politician Boris Nemtsov on February 27. The man was detained on March 4, then a police officer told the activist that “his song was sung.”
Previously, Khudyakov was repeatedly detained at protests. The man noted that this is already the 36th offense report against him.
- Politician Boris Nemtsov was killed on February 27, 2015 in the center of Moscow - on the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge. Five people were sentenced in the murder case to terms of 11 to 20 years in prison, but the person who ordered the murder was not found. All these years, public actions have been held in different cities on the anniversary of the assassination of a politician, and local authorities have recently refused to coordinate them .
- Since the detention of the ex-governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, Sergei Furgal, in July 2020, have been held actions in support of him in Russian cities. Protesters believe that the persecution is due to the fact that Furgal won the gubernatorial election against the United Russia candidate, and also to the fact that the region showed one of the lowest voting results for amendments to the Constitution. In February 2023, Furgal was sentenced to 22 years in prison.
