“This was not the case in our school,” most readers will say. Or even "this was not in the USSR." And in my school it was. In the school where I am working now, a similar style of conversation with students cannot be imagined. And on those videos that students throughout the country are shooting in the lessons, I still find out the teachers who still dream in the bad dreams: “Who are you? Who are you, I ask you? " - “You are nobody! Zero! Traitor!"

The only difference between the time and the current one is that we did not have smartphones with classmates. And of course, we could not show at home what is happening in the classroom. And the adults did not really believe our stories: “The teacher could not say so”, “Do not invent”, “So they brought it.” We had fun that we recorded the most colorful phrases on the last pages of notebooks. Sometimes they were additionally flanching for this when they handed over notebooks for verification.

Today's children can slowly get a smartphone and take a video in the lesson. And to show the whole country that the teacher says in the lesson, as the classroom hour conducts, how he conducts individual “educational” work with students.

Sometimes these videos turn out to be a shock for adults. Parents write complaints to the departments and ministries, the educational authorities arrange checks, dismiss teachers, and directors announce reprimands. Justice triumphs. Children are protected from evil teachers.

But is it triumphant?

Since the beginning of the year, several videos have appeared on the Internet one by one, where teachers have shouted ugly at the children, or even beat them. These videos caused a great public resonance, some teachers who became their “heroes” have already fired.

Olga Kazakova, chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education, recently offered to ban the video at school to protect teachers. According to her, this proposal “was born from the appeal of teachers who say that it is necessary to end in lessons with video and photography”: “Children should think about lessons, you need to engage in training. Children should not think about when they get the phone and begin to shoot any situation. ”

Unnamed teachers complained to Kazakova that children specially provoke teachers, and then take him to the phone to put him on a public laughing stock. “Of course, it is absolutely worthless. This is not worthy of general approach to teachers, to pedagogical work. You can’t mock and laugh at the teacher, ”Olga Kazakova commented on this. And if the children do not understand this, then it is necessary to make a video impossible, and this will contribute to the fact that children and parents will respect teachers more.

According to her, the State Duma will work amendments to the law on education prohibiting video shooting in the lessons, and the Ministry of Education is already developing a bill on the special status of the teacher.

This is the flip side of the triumphant justice. Teachers are protected from evil children.

But again, something is wrong.

• - The problem is not what is being removed. The problem is that first they are brought to the condition suitable for “sensational shooting”, and then the start button is already squeezed. In our other school about five years ago, fifth graders so brought an inexperienced teacher. It’s good that she remembered who shot, talked with a child and even managed to disperse the world, lived without excesses by the end of the school year. But this is a rarity.

• - I do not know what is worse - yell at children or shoot a scream on the video. What does it mean "brought"? An adult in the role of a teacher must control himself. It is precisely hysteria that the teacher cannot allow himself. The hysteria is at home with her husband.

• - I recently had a conversation with mine on this subject. They turned on the recorder on physics and recorded teachers. Do you want to, they say, listen to what he says in the lessons? I refused to listen and forbade them to do this in the future. This is a very serious ethical question. Nothing special, of course, he does not speak in the lessons. It just seems to them that his explanations are inaccurate. But the very way of obtaining and spreading information outraged me. Favorite children, relatives ... But they are deeply wrong. And they must be educated, taught to civilized behavior. A screaming teacher is one problem. Secret shooting in the lesson is also a problem, this cannot be done. Only I don't understand why this should be prohibited? This is already forbidden: no one has the right to remove without demand. Dot.

• - I sympathize with you all. I loved the school. And the physician who called us and beat us, the court deprived of the right to work at school. Our Komsomol cell got up to death. We will not learn from her. He was supported by the party committee. Parents were on our side.

• - You can't yell at children! It would be better if such a law was adopted. I think that children should be able to defend themselves if the teacher behaves inappropriately. You can not shoot in private life, but in public, when lawlessness is created, you need to shoot. The policeman beats the detainee at the rally, does he need to ask permission to shoot?!

• - In each individual case, the context is very important. Sometimes this is the only way to protect. I agree. But there are other cases when children allow disgrace. And this also cannot be ignored. I do not think that children are always right by definition.

• - I am for the mutual process. We must understand the reasons. Fight bullying on both sides. Exclude it as a phenomenon.

• -Removing a person without permission for the sake of show in Tik-Tok is beyond the line. No one had such a right. I would ask those who do not see anything wrong with this, they would like it if the teacher began to shoot them not the most successful performances at the board on the video, and then would put it on the network? And what? School is a public place, and if it is possible alone, then it can be all the rest.

• - The law is one for all. Do we not take off children secretly? Do not put their disgrace into public space? This is criminally punishable. So why can children be? Once again: I do not justify the violent methods of teachers, their foul language and so on. There are many legal ways to stop lawlessness. And they need to explain them to children. Everything should be civilized. Everyone should know their rights and respect the rights of another.

The culture of violence

About ten years ago, I had to study the videos shot by students in the lessons for one article - where teachers beat children, shout at them, or even even put them into hand -to -hand combat. As a rule, everywhere the scheme was the same: the children provoke the teachers (either to check the boundaries of the permitted, or for the sake of entertainment), the teacher reacts to the provocation unprofessional: an emotional explosion, insults and violence.

Teacher - the profession is not particularly prestigious, on the one hand, and on the other - mass; It is impossible to expect that all teachers in these conditions will turn out to be high professionals who are distinguished by outstanding mental qualities. University preparation and subsequent continuing education courses are focused on the subject, teaching methods, and the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard, on anything, except for the daily teacher, the ability to cope with the problematic behavior of students and resolve conflicts in the class without physical and mental violence (the application of which is unambiguously prohibited by the Law on Education).

The old fashioned teachers enjoy violence: to humiliate a problem student, insult, scare, punish. Sometimes you can even see how the teacher revels in power over a quiet class or a schoolboy standing in front of him, how gives free rein to his barn anger: who are you, oh? Who are you at all?

When you watch such videos, it seems that teachers have long forgotten how to talk humanly with children. What is even worse - parents often support such methods of education: the children themselves are to blame, brought the teacher. And so the teacher is a good, strong subject. This is part of the general culture of violence in which we exist - in which any conflicts are resolved by force, and the victim is always to blame. Most often, the state institutions are saturated with the culture of violence: the school, the army, the psychiatric hospital, the orphanage, boarding schools for the disabled, the prison - it is there that the order is most often supported by punishment and violence.

Any work with people involves conflicts. But in the post-Soviet time, we were almost weaving from the sellers or banking operators who were worshiping on us, we cannot imagine that the teachers of the online courses that we buy, or the flight attendants in airplanes, are yelling at us. Does this mean that adults do not bring sellers, bank employees or flight attendants? Bring it, and how. But in the world there have long been ways to cope with provocations and resolve conflicts peacefully. Only to the mass school they will still not get - just as they cannot get to other state institutions. Maybe because they require radical public changes, and with a vector completely opposite to the present: it was not without reason that in the nineties a lot of humanistic oriented schools appeared, where it was not accepted to yell at children; In one of them I work.

Problem children's behavior is a common condition for teacher work. But teachers must be taught how to cope with him. He needs the support of a school psychologist, class teacher, administration.

We need manuals that will tell the teacher how to behave in difficult situations, we need trainings. We need general school rules for resolving conflicts and a school -wide anti -bululing policy that protects both the student and the teacher. School services of reconciliation, school ombudsmen, informal school councils of students, conflict commissions can help. But to establish it all is long and difficult, and to ban something is fast and simple.

However, the respect of children and parents cannot be earned by prohibitions. They will respect the wrong teacher, whose unprofessionalism is prohibited from shooting, but the one who behaves professionally.

Finally, if the only way to protect yourself from insults and humiliations for a child is to take a wandering teacher on a video and put a video on the network, then, then, the school violates the law, and parents turn a blind eye to this. Sometimes children do not know at all what exactly they should do if the teacher insults them: it never occurred to anyone to explain it to them. And instead of going with their problem to parents, class teacher, director - they post a video for public display. Either no one ever spoke humanly with them, or they do not expect any help from adults.

However, adults often prefer in case of conflict with the teacher not to go to the head teacher or director, but to write temperamental posts in social networks and demand the maximum repost.

It would be necessary for adults, probably, to prohibit writing about teachers in social networks. You can also prohibit them to discuss them in school chats. And you can generally prohibit them to discuss them, even aloud at a personal meeting. True, it is not known who and how will control and how the violators will punish.

However, blaming the mirror is already something like a national tradition. It is important not to take out the IS from the hut, but to sweep it under the carpet, to achieve the teachers not to yell at the children, but so that no one would know about it. This, of course, will raise the prestige of the teacher's profession to unprecedented heights.
