When will spring come to Petersburg?

We talked with a weather forecaster about when the Petersburgers are waiting for warming, whether spring will come soon and how dangerous it will be on the roads.

About the weather on the weekend, March 11–12

About when spring comes to St. Petersburg

- In the afternoon on Monday [March 13] it will become warmer, but not much. The temperature will only slightly exceed the zero mark. In the middle of next week, on Tuesday and Wednesday, the city is waiting for a fairly powerful wave of heat. Daytime temperatures will rise to marks +4 ... +6 degrees, rains will go.

However, this is not the final offensive of spring. By the end of the working week, the heat wave will run out, and by the next weekend the temperature at night will again be confidently negative, and in the afternoon - close to zero.

Residents of the Northern capital should count on a steady arrival of spring temperatures after March 22–23.

About what will happen on the roads

- Holly on the roads and sidewalks will be next week. It is formed due to night frosts and slightly positive temperatures during the day. Because of such warming, everything melts, but after the arrival of new frosts it will freeze.

The probability of precipitation after warming is also high.
