In Kurs, police raided the apartment and office of activist Tatyana Bondarenko, who opposes the construction of the KurskAzot nitrogen fertilizer plant in the city. Bondarenko wrote about the visit of the security forces on her Vkontakte page.
“Yesterday my apartment and work office were searched. The inspectors do not hide that their activity is connected with my position against the construction of a nitrogen fertilizer plant in Kursk,” the activist said.
Investigative actions at Bondarenko’s workplace took place in the absence of the girl, she said: “There was a person in the office dealing with a hotline, I emphasize that neither I nor representatives of the company were present, in such conditions it is simply illegal to start a search. The materials on which the search was started are hidden and I was not allowed to get acquainted with them, even to read them. Although at a minimum, they are required to provide a search warrant. It was forbidden to invite a lawyer.”
The activist added that she had never called for illegal rallies and events, while more than once she spoke out against the construction of a plant in the city next to residential buildings. “I am sure that both in our region and beyond it is easy to find suitable places where a fertilizer plant will not need to change the map of the city and violate the spirit of the law,” Bondarenko wrote.
When the girl called the investigator and asked when she would be invited for interrogation, she was told that she “had nothing to do with the case in which the searches were going on,” and that they were not going to interrogate her.
Bondarenko is going to write complaints about the police officers who conducted the investigation in her apartment and at the workplace. “I will continue to fight until I win. In any case, there is the Court of Cassation and the Supreme Court, I am convinced that they will not cover the Kursk officials, ”the activist concluded.
In early March, the Kursk mayor's office denied Tatyana Bondarenko permission to hold a rally against the construction of a nitrogen fertilizer plant.
