Former Novosibirsk Governor Vasily Yurchenko left the post of managing subsidiary of one of the largest metal traders in Russia. The decision was made against the background of information about its possible transition to the Berdsky Electromechanical Plant, the shares of which are redeemed by the airline S7.

Vasily Yurchenko ceased to be the manager of MetalService-Novosibirsk LLC, Taiga.info drew attention to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. He led the company as an individual entrepreneur.

In 2021, the revenue of MetalService-Novosibirsk amounted to 8.3 billion rubles, increasing by 53% compared to 2020. The company is a subsidiary of one of the largest metal traders in Russia-MetalService Group.

Against this background, the chairman of the board of directors of the enterprise, the once influential deputy of the Legislative Assembly Viktor Osin sold his stake in BAMZ JSC of the Novosibirsk airline S7.

Vasily Yurchenko was born on September 26, 1960. He graduated from the Novosibirsk Institute of Water Transport Engineers. Since 1982, he worked at one of the largest enterprises of the region - Sibselmash, where he went from mechanic to the general director. In 2004, he was appointed head of the Department of Industry and Entrepreneurship of the Regional Administration, and already in February 2005 he became the first deputy governor Viktor Tolokonsky.

In 2010, Yurchenko headed the Novosibirsk region. In 2014, PF President Vladimir Putin resigned him to “lose confidence”. Several criminal cases were instituted against him, in which Vasily Yurchenko completely denied.

The defense considered the matter political and associated it with the conflict with the ex-field representative of the president in Siberia, Viktor Tolokonsky. In one of the affairs, Yurchenko was given three years conditionally, in another way he achieved compensation for illegal persecution.

Since 2019, Yurchenko headed MetalService-Novosibirsk.
