“Important stories”: from the employees of the Institute of RAS in Novosibirsk they demanded to indicate where and with whom they live

Employees of the Institute of Oil and Gas Geology and Geophysics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (INGG SB RAS) in Novosibirsk sent letters demanding to indicate information about cohabitants. The screenshot of the letter published a telegram channel “The unsuccessful town”, the authenticity of the text “Important Stories” was confirmed by an employee of the institution.

The report says that “for security reasons”, the staff of the Russian Academy of Sciences must report the actual address of residence, as well as the data of the cohabitants, regardless of the kinship and the place of registration. For schoolchildren, they ask to indicate the classroom, and for the elderly - the status of a pensioner.

This information is requested by the headquarters of civil defense and emergency situations on behalf of the administration of the Soviet district of the city and the government of the Novosibirsk region, the report said.

“This is done for your safety of you and the safety of your family members. <...> Your life and the life of your loved ones depends on it, ”the letter says.

According to the interlocutor of “important stories”, the data is printed and signed by the head of the laboratories, after which they must be sent to the administration of the Soviet district. “They talk about the verification by the prosecutor’s office, [but] have not yet explained what threatens [data failure],” she said.
