The Ministry of Justice intends to eliminate the information and analytical center "OVA"

Director "Owl" Alexander Verkhovsky

The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation filed a lawsuit against the liquidation of the Owl information and analytical center. The department believes that the center violated the rules when he conducted or participated in events outside the register region. This was reported in the organization.

The Ministry of Justice began an unscheduled inspection "Owl" in January, the reason for its holding was the request of the prosecutor's office. The department counted 24 events of the Center outside of Moscow over the past three years.

Earlier to liquidate the “owl” was asked by activists of the public movement “Russian veterans”. They are ahead of the Investigative Committee, the Presidential Administration, the FSB and the State Duma. In November 2022, the director of the organization Alexander Verkhovsky expelled from the Council of Human Rights.

  • The information and analytical center "Owl" is a non -governmental organization, whose sphere of interests includes the problems of nationalism and xenophobia, the relationship of religion and society, as well as the practice of applying anti -extremist legislation in Russia. In 2016, the “owe” was introduced into the register of “foreign agents” of the Ministry of Justice.
