Karelia: FSB conducted searches from two activists

FSB officers in the city of Segezha conducted searches with two Karelian activists Irina Nippolanen and Anna Trusova. This was announced with reference to Nippolanen by the Telegram channel from the From Karelia with Freedom, the Telegram channel "Politzek-Info" published similar information.

According to channels, pensioners are nipplayen and podsais is charged with a criminal case of public calls to carry out activities aimed against the security of the state (part 280.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The sanctions of the article provide for a fine of up to 1 million rubles or imprisonment up to six years.

Nippolanen said that her last year’s posts on the VKontakte page were the reason for the criminal prosecution. This page is now deleted. FSB officers seized a mobile phone, two home computers and an activist Wi-Fi Roter.

Neither Irina nor Anna called the lawyer: they were frightened and confused. FSB officers searched in the presence of the witnesses who brought with them.

“We had a chat, where we invited like-minded people, collected money for fines for“ discrediting ”, generally somehow supported each other. It is clear that they saw this chat in anin computer, ”says Irina.

In the spring of 2021, Irina was brought to administrative responsibility for the repost of the Navalny action on the social network. But she received the agenda in court only after she registered as a candidate for the Legislative Assembly from the Yabloko party.
