Crimean activist and nurse Irina Danilovich, sentenced to seven years in prison, is deteriorating in health. Her father told Crimea.Realities about this.
Danilovich lost consciousness while being transported to the Feodosia City Court to complete familiarization with the case materials, he told the publication. At the same time, the pre-trial detention center issued documents according to which the nurse has no medical obstacles for transfer.
Previously, the activist was sent for a medical examination, which she has needed since the end of last year due to complaints of acute otitis media: the disease developed after Danilovich was kept in the basement of the FSB building for more than a week, and then placed in a pre-trial detention center without heating. However, she did not receive medical assistance for a long time.
According to the relatives, the examination was of a formal nature. The doctor refused to make a diagnosis and stated that Danilovich should be sent to a psychiatrist, not an otolaryngologist.
The activist's defense plans to hold the doctor accountable for failure to provide assistance. Relatives are demanding that the pre-trial detention center allow a competent doctor to see Danilovich, who will conduct an examination in the presence of a lawyer.
The woman herself said that she plans to go on a dry hunger strike “to protest against the abuse” of her.
Danilovic was detained in April 2022. For a long time, her relatives did not know where she was. The activist spoke about pressure and physical violence from FSB officers.
According to the FSB, Danilovich kept 200 grams of explosives in the lining of her glasses case. She is charged with an article on illegal actions with explosives or explosive devices (part of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code). The defendant and her defense claim that the explosives were planted on her. In December, the court sentenced her to seven years in prison and a fine of 50 thousand rubles.
