“The vast majority of inhabitants of Europe consider Russia as an“ enemy ”or“ rival ”of their countries, follows from the results of the survey. In particular, 66 % of the citizens of ten European states are of this opinion: Great Britain, Germany, Denmark, Poland, Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Romania and Estonia.
The most negative attitude towards Russia in the Danes is 82 %, Estonians - 79 %, Poles - 79 %, British - 77 %, Germans - 69 %and Spaniards - 65 %. In France, 59 %of citizens announced rivalry with the Russian Federation, in Portugal - 57 %, in Italy - 54 %. The lowest indicator is in Romania: here Russia was called the enemy of 44 % of respondents. In nine European countries, only 2 % of respondents see an ally in Moscow, 12 % consider Russia a necessary partner for their state. ”
