At the end of February, the 26-year-old mercenary of the Wagner PMC Igor Epifantsev, who died in Ukraine, was buried in the village of Urulungui Territory. His former cohabitant Olga Kobylkina was not at the funeral. Two years ago, due to the persecution of Igor Olga, she was forced to leave for another village. Now, relatives of Epifantsev believe that Igor was in prison and died in the war due to the fault of Kobylkina.

“Igor was so ordinary,” says Olga Kobylkin, looking at the photo of Igor Epifantseva. On it, a thin young man in a jacket, jeans and Adidas hat smokes a cigarette. Tattoos are visible on his fingers. - But his blow is good, I beat for sure. I was very afraid of him. And I'm still afraid.

Kobylkin and Epiphans began to meet in Urulungu in 2018. In the same year, his father received 9 years and 10 months of the colony for the murder of his wife - mother of Igor. Sergei Epifantsev strangled a woman in a drunken quarrel with a cord from the phone.

Igor himself was 21 years old. He did not work anywhere and already had several judgments: for storing marijuana and theft of the car. On the Epifantsev page in Odnoklassniki there is a photograph where he stands at the fence that says “A.U.e”*. “Igor had nothing to do with the“ Auhniki ”, just a photo for jokes and nothing more,” said Olga Kobylkin.

Kobylkina looks like a teacher, although she never taught. She removes her hair in a tail, on her face - neatly superimposed cosmetics. Olga is 12 years older than Igor, she had two children from the past marriage by the time she met Epifantsev.

“So many Girls Igor had before, both beautiful and normal,” recalls his sister Nadezhda Epifantsev. “And he ran - after her.”

In the summer of 2019, Kobylkina gave birth to her son from Epifantsev. “Igor first did not want the child and stopped going to me. But the son of Dimka was so similar to Igor that he again began to appear. We even tried to live together, but not for long, ”says Kobylkina. She says that Igor went into binges a couple of times a month and then became very aggressive.

In August 2020, Epiphants greatly beat Kobylkin. “He walked with friends, I called, said to go home. Well, she called him an ugly word with the letter P, - Olga recalls. - He came running, in the fence dropped me and began to trample on the face. I broke my nose, the scar is still. ” Kobylkina sighs: “Probably, it was impossible to call him that. It was too rude. "

When Igor sobered up, he, according to Kobylkina, knelt before her, cried and began to ask for forgiveness. Olga did not contact the police. “Many men are striking their wives,” she explains. - And my ex -husband beat me - but not as much as Igor. They beat what you do here. ”

"He took the pitchfork and went to the haymaking"

Urulunguy is an hour riding from the Russian-Chinese border. About 700 people live here. The village stands in the middle of the steppe, it is pierced by ground roads. Around the hemp fields, and criminal cases for drug storage here are not uncommon. “But with work in Urulungui worse than with a grass,” LB is a local resident Vladimir Eliseev. - Previously, the state farm was. There are no police branches in the village. If necessary, law enforcement officers come from Sargunsk - this is a district center 65 kilometers from Urulunguya.

Olga Kobylkina worked in the store before the birth of children. Then she began to live on children's benefits. Igor Epifantsev also did not have official work. “Kalymil on hayfields, drove water, chopped firewood, helped to stab cattle,” says Olga's friend Natalya (name changed - forehead) . “But I spent all the money only on one - on vodka.”

“I didn’t like Igor’s sober,” Olga Kobylkina, Oleg Ponomarev, recalls. - When he drank, he seemed to be a split personality. He speaks calmly, and then directly before his eyes begins to wind himself. Well, Olga got a lot from him, he was very jealous of her. Although he was not even a husband. I told him so: "Today you are, you are not tomorrow."

In October 2020, Kobylkina left for the district hospital and left three children in the care of Epifantsev. After some time, Olga called Epifantsev’s sister Nadezhda. “Nadia said that the house was not baked, the mess, Igor is drunk, aggressive, who is not at home,” says Olga. “Nadia took all the children to her.”

Kobylkina went back to Urulungui. On the way, I called the police, asked Epifantsev to reassure. “Well, they talked with him, and the next day Igor came to my house, the children were already with me,” says Kobylkina. - He took the pitchfork, directed them at me and trampled them. The material that I declare to the police. Shouted: “I will kill you, creature!” I ran into the house and closed from the inside. He took the pitchfork and left for the haymaking. "

Olga called the police again. “I say to them: take Epifantsev for at least a few days,” Kobylkina recalls. - And they to me: there are no such laws. I say: I do not want him to live with me. And they to me: we live in a free country and Epiphants can live where he wants. ”

"Throw the house and leave until it's too late"

Kobylkin on the same day wrote a statement about the threat of murder. But the investigator of the Sargun Ministry of Internal Affairs Kostromin refused to initiate a criminal case. The decision on the refusal (at the disposal of the LB) says: "Epifantsev was two meters from the applicant, which means that [she] did not have any reason to fear the threat of murder." After that, the representative of Kobylkina, lawyer Anastasia Kopteeva, submitted an application to the prosecutor’s office and there the decision of Kostromin was canceled as illegal.

In February 2021, Epifantsev was nevertheless brought to criminal liability: he found marijuana. Kopteyeva ensured that the case was opened for the threat of pitchfork. Drug storage and the threat of murder were combined into one production. The court took place in October. All this time Igor remained free. For nine months, according to Olga, he attacked her at least five times, demanding to pick up a statement from the police. According to Olga, in April 2021, Epiphants burst into the house and in front of Kobykina and her children with an ax broke a table, chairs, floor and door. In May, Igor beat Olga, she, defending himself, scratched his face. The police took both to a medical examination, and brought both back to Kobykina’s house, although Olga asked not to do this. In June, Kobylkin claims, Epiphants pulled her hair on her head and knocked out a tooth. In August, he beat Olga's father, and her nine -year -old daughter pushed an eyebrow on the door and cut the girl. A few days later, the window broke the brick.

Olga Kobylkina describes her condition of the time as “complete hopelessness”. “I wrote statements to the police all the time, but there they will talk with Epifantsev - and nothing more. The maximum, he was assigned compulsory work, ”says Kobylkina. - Once I went to an appointment with the head of the village, Igor was a drunk house. I took all the children. Cried. I tell the chapter: I'm afraid to go home. She called somewhere, to custody or something, she talked. They said that they could not help. We had to go home. The head promised to talk with Igor, but did not talk. ”

The head of the rural administration, Nadezhda Aksyonova, for which Kobylkin went to the reception, refused to comment on the "people of Lake Baikal."

Olga says that at some point she "is so tired of fear that she began to call all instances in a row." “On some kind of confidence, I was advised to leave the house and leave until it was too late. I did so in the end, ”she says.

In August 2021, Kobylkina sold things, pounded the house and left with the children in the village of Krasny Chika - to the homeland of her parents. This is more than a thousand kilometers from Urulunguya. A little later, her father moved in Chika in Chika, her mother remained in Urulungu to look after the house. Then Kobylkin was already pregnant with the second child from Epifantsev.

"I have never seen such beautiful funeral"

“Well, I did not want to be with Igor, kicked him out, kicked him out, and he came again and came,” Olga explains her pregnancy. - Well, she lived with him. It was because of fear, it turns out.

Olga gave birth to her daughter in Red Chikoy, Igor had never seen her. He knew where Kobylkin went with the children, but did not pursue her. In the fall of 2021, the Sargun District Court sentenced Epifantsev to three and a half years in prison for the threat of murder and according to the “narcotic” article 228. And a year later, a friend of Kobylkina, whose husband was sitting with Epifantsev, told Olga that Igor became a mercenary of the Wagner PMC.

“And I began to be afraid of this summer,” Olga explains. - If Igor “lasted for six months there, he would be amnestied. And he told friends that he wanted to come to Chika like “to his own.” But in fact, I wanted to go to me, of course. I was very scared.

The Epiphants died at the end of January 2023. Igor was buried on February 23 in Urulungu. The mourning rally was held in the rural house of culture.

“I have never seen such beautiful funerals in our village,” Natalya Kobykina recalls Kobylkina. - The whole village was, the military arrived. Flowers laid him on the coffin. Well, they said speeches. The head of the village said that let's honor the memory and all that. The class teacher remembered that he was inquisitive. And someone also put it that Igor died a hero, because he had enough courage to go there. Well, what he was sitting in the colony - no one about it. Although then people whisked on the street.

Olga Kobylkina was not at the funeral. She explains that going with children a thousand kilometers is far and difficult. Then he adds: “Yes, and I did not want to in Urulungui. For some reason, now rumors go in the village that I passed Igor and he died because of me. ”

According to the "people of Baikal", at least 59 residents of Transbaikalia were killed in the war, who entered into a contract with the Wagner PMC. Surnames 43 of them can be found on the sites of regional and district courts.

Eight “Wagnerians” received deadlines for killing and causing serious harm to health that resulted in death. But mostly convicts who fell into war were accused of thefts (17 people) and drug storage (10 people). The first time the courts most often give a fine or conditional imprisonment for these articles. With relapse, they already receive real punishment, but it rarely exceeds 5-6 years.

“For us, theft, drugs are a pot -bellied, niochemisty trifle,” a resident of Urulunguya Gregory argues in a conversation with the forehead. He is a distant relative of the Epifantsev and asks not to indicate his real name and surname. “Our Igor is not a killer.” Well, he smoked hemp. And Olga, rubbish, sent him to death.

The wife of Grigory Anastasia says that she could call Igor a criminal if he "killed someone or was snapy." “But there are people like him - a dime a dozen,” she emphasizes. - Igor is an ordinary kid. A friend of Kobylkina Natalya confirms that in Urulungu, Olga blame in the death of Epifantsev. Natalia does not consider Igor a hero, because "he did nothing good in his life." “Everyone knows: he beat his parents, his sister beat, Olga Bil. I drank constantly. In fact, Epifantsev stayed in Wagner PMC for about two months - from the date of conclusion of the contract to death.

Father Kobylkina Oleg Ponomarev argues what he is experiencing about the death of Epifantsev “zero emotions”. “The main thing is that Olga and the grandchildren will be calm,” he says. - Because Igor was without end. "Every day washed his head in a basin"

Igor’s sister Nadezhda Epifantsev in a conversation with the LB does not hide that her brother had a “heavy character”. But she notes that Igor loved sport, was brought up, clean and "washed his head in a basin every day."

- And in Olga’s house there is always a mess, not removed! - exclaims Nadezhda. - He complained about it. In the village you need to deal with the household - and this is not all for it. Yes, several times he had aggression to Olga, I myself was a witness. So there were reasons for this.

Epifantseva says that Kobylkina "what only did, wrote to different men, she had 150 left pages." “She instructed me Kolov in“ Odnoklassniki ”, and let my husband give gifts,“ classes ”,” recalls Nadezhda. “It was ugly on her part.”

Nadezhda recalls that because of this all the Igor "it was difficult to watch."

“He was tormented, even cried,” says Epifantseva. - And Olga did not hear him, she was on the hell.

After the story of the pitchfork, Nadezhda talked with Igor, “he listened, calmed down and stopped Olga to drive,” she sighs.

“But Kobylkina herself called the police - even if Igor just walked a drunk along the street by,” says Epifantseva. - He sees him and immediately calls him, treats that he will beat her right now. The police come - there are no beatings, of course, what will you do here.

According to hope, it was Olga who "by all the truth or indirectness put Igor in the colony." “I was already upset,” recalls Epifantsev. “And then Igoresha wrote from the colony that he was going to go to war.”

- I write to him: why do you need all this, you will die! - sobs Epifantsev. - And he answered me: "If I die, then it should be so." And somehow he put it so-that at least some benefit from him would be.

Now Epifantsev calls his brother a "hero." “Olga from her extraneous pages writes bad things about him, insults. But the whole village is good about him, ”Nadezhda emphasizes. “Everything is on the foreplay here, there is no one on her.”

Before the funeral, Olga transferred the hope to the hope (she did not say how much), but she returned it. “Nadia curses me, she wishes me death,” Kobylkina wonders. - I'm generally in shock. She knew that Igor beat me. I felt sorry for me and the children. And now. Everyone knows very well what he was, and still condemn me. And I like it is to blame, because he did nothing so terrible. Kobylkina was informed about the death of Epifantseva her friend - she saw a post in social networks. Olga really cries.

“At first I wanted him to be given more, to live somehow normally, longer,” she says through tears. “But we have two children with him.” And it was good. And he showed attention to me, and loved his son. Now I am bad about him and I don’t remember.

Kobylkina says that her older children from her first marriage “talked normally” with Epifantsev. “At first they called him“ Igor ”, then they began to call dad,” she says. - They are proud that he went there [to war]. Their father came to their father to mobilize, but for some reason they did not take him. My son declares: “Igorsha was not afraid to fight, and my dad was afraid.”

Kobylkina cries again.

“Such feelings in my soul are incomprehensible,” she says finally. - I was so afraid of Igor. But now I understand that he is a hero. Not afraid, went. And how can I live with it now?
