New/old landmark of Petrozavodsk

The building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Karelo-Finnish SSR was restored in Petrozavodsk. For many years, the First Children's Clinic was located in this building. In the nineties, the building burned and stood for a long time, frightening tourists, in a dilapidated state. The city public prevented the owner from demolishing the ruins and erecting another faceless residential building in their place. It is planned to house a hotel and restaurant in the restored building.
