In Israel, a nationwide strike

Protests against judicial reform, which encroaches on the independence of the judiciary: changes the procedure for the appointment of judges of the Supreme Court, makes it impossible to cancel the adopted laws, last more than two months, more than 300 thousand people throughout the country take part in them.

The president of Israel, Yitzhak Duke, as well as Minister of Defense, Yoav Galant, asked to suspend the adoption of the reform the day before. After the statement, the latter was dismissed.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced his intention to suspend judicial reform, but some official decisions have not yet been made, and the protests are ongoing.

Strikes and protests will last before the stop of the judicial reform.
