Four people were arrested in Bashkiria due to arson on a railway

The Sovetsky District Court of Ufa arrested four people, one of whom is a minor, for setting fire to a relay cabinet on the Karlaman-Priuralye section of the Kuibyshev railway. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

According to investigators, the men acted as a group of persons by prior agreement in order to destabilize the activities of the authorities. The defendants set fire to it using a flammable liquid, the structure was completely burned down.

According to the SHOT telegram channel, among those arrested are a 20-year-old student of the College of Radio Engineering and Security, a stone polisher and an unemployed man convicted of threatening to kill many times, as well as a teenager. It is noted that residents of Bashkiria were detained during another attempt to set fire to a relay cabinet near the Urshak station.

SHOT reports that for the first arson, the men were charged under the article on intentional destruction or damage to property (Article 167 of the Criminal Code), and for attempting the second one, on preparation for a terrorist act (Article 205 of the Criminal Code with the application of Article 30 of the Criminal Code).
