Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on spring conscription for military service. The call will run from April 1 to July 15. It is planned to send 147,000 people to military service — 12,500 more than in the spring draft of 2022.

In the spring conscription of 2023, they will still be conscripted from 18 to 27 years old.

It is planned to raise the limits of the draft age from the spring draft of 2024. The State Duma is considering a bill providing that the upper limit of the draft age will be raised to 30 years already in the spring draft of 2024, and the lower limit will be raised to 21 years.
